valley will be celebrating centuries-old French Huguenot heritage at its annual Bastille Festival.

The focal point at the festival, as always, will be the Food & Wine Marquee with the finest food and wine from Franschhoek on offer to taste and enjoy.

There will be a sporting component at Bastille with the famous Barrel Rolling Competition with competitors from the various Wine Estates, the hustle and bustle of the Boules Competition which anyone can enter, run by the SPCA.

Along with all the above there will be the Farmers’ Market, Craft Stalls, chidren’s activities, and the minstrels parade. The marching band, the Delta Valley Entertainers, will lead the procession in the Minstrels Parade at 11am on Saturday July 14.

Tickets can be purchased through www.webtickets.co.za, but tickets are limited. Once the marquee is full no further patrons will be admitted.
